I bought this in a travel size. It is Ion Anti-Frizz Solutions Lightweight moisture and detangling Leave-in conditioner. I will definitely be repurchasing in a big bottle. It has an awesome sent, kind of sweet like cotton candy but very light. It works great to detangle my curls. I bought this at Sally's Beauty Supply. Great stuff.
I <3 Scarves

I had to share this scarf. It cost me a whole $1. Another Dollar Tree treasure. Love grey and yellow. Definitely a win!
When there are no words, act....

I've been making jewelry since I was in Jr. High. I love it. It is very calming. I always thought my best jewelry accomplishment was actually mounting some gems that belonged to a coworker's grandmother for her daughter's Christmas present. That was until tonight and though this project was not nearly as hard as mounting gemstones into sterling, it was fulfilling and when I look at these pieces I see the words that I cannot express. I am pretty proud of how pretty they turned out.
For you Noodle Heads
Monday, April 15, 2013
If you have curly hair, then you know how expensive and hard it can be to find good products that work. Most of the time I opt to use Sexy Curly Hair products. They smell good and most of them work great. But, I have been on a "try new things kick", so I bought some new products and I love them.
The first is called Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray by Not Your Mother's. Smells of coconut. Very beachy. You can use it on damp or dry hair. It works best on damp and it creates loose, soft curls. I found my bottle at CVS. Just as the bottle claims you can have sexy tousled waves for that just came from the beach relaxed look. A perfect product for summer.
The second product, I found at Sally's Beauty Supply and decided to give it a try because Beyond the Zone was on sale and I couldn't pass up such a deal. I picked out Noodle Head Tame Your Curls flawless hair with saucy style. A firm hold curling mousse. I was not expecting a lot from this product, but was so surprised. I love how it makes my curls look.
I attached a picture of my hair on a day I used nothing but these two products on my hair. It was taken at the end of the day so my hair had lost some of the curl, but you get the point.
Noodle heads, try these out. Save some cash and your hair.
And I realize, I sound like an infomercial, but trust me, no one is paying me for my opinion.

Mio Monday: the good, the bad, the ugly
Monday, April 15, 2013
Friday night, my friend, Sumer, and I were up late talking and somehow ended up on the topic of Crystal Light and Mio. I had recently purchased five different Mio flavors since I had a coupon, so we decided to do a taste test.
How do you know you're two moms hanging out? Oh, probably when your whispering, trying out your kids Mio flavors and looking guilty as hell when you decide it needs a few extra drops for good measure.
Our conclusions to this very exclusive experiment are as follows:

The good:
Tangerine Orange. ***picture Annie from Bridesmaids drinking her pink lemonade, because that was Sumer's basic response to this drink.***

D@*m that's good. $#i+, that's fresh.
Yeah, it is that good.
The second good one is the Peach tea. This is my opinion only since Sumer did not try it, because she doesn't like flavored tea so says she................It is good though ... if you like flavored teas...
The bad:
Sumer and I were probably a little torn on the Berry Blast, which I am pretty sure is a new fit one with electrolytes and stuff in it. It was o.k. Maybe I didn't add enough. It was like a funky Koolaid.
The second "bad" one, or maybe we should call these the flavors of indifference, was the Berry Lemonade. That'll make your lips pucker. It is tart. More lemon and less berry really.
I would say there is a small chance someone out there might like these, but I am not planning to repurchase either of them.
The ugly:
SWEET TEA
Gag me! It was like drinking a watered down jack & coke. It was awful. AWFUL! And it won't even make you tipsy.
You've been warned. Don't come crying to me if you drink that crap.
Yuck.
:)
So Mio? Some good, some bad, some ugly. Try at your own risk. At least I helped with five of the flavors, right?
:)

Weight loss: 3 Day Military Diet recap
Wednesday, April 10, 2013
I never followed up about the 3 Day Military Diet weight results. During the diet, I lost 2 pounds per day while working out an hour per day and drinking LOTS of water. Great results, but two pounds came back and not because I went out and had a cheeseburger or anything like that. I honestly think that there are better options, but it is a great JumpStart plan or a great diet maybe if you've hit a plateau. The diet itself makes you lose more water weight than fat, but it definitely isn't anything that will hurt you, but it needs to be used in combination with long term healthy eating habits. And do NOT think you can lose 40 pounds in a month on this diet because not only is that ridiculous, it would also be unhealthy.
Since the diet, I have continued to use My Fitness Pal and workout regularly along with drinking lots of water. I try to limit my calories to 800 to 1200 calories per day. Weekends are the hardest because everyone is home and we're usually busy and my kids always want pizza or pasta. So frustrating. I am hoping to find another diet to try just for the fun of it, but so far, the other ones have been too off the wall and crazy to even bother with. Like I am not eating tons of boiled eggs for a week or drinking "special" lemonade only for ten days. No thank you. I don't need the gas or to pass out from some 10 day liquid diet! :)

Favorite Neutrals
Wednesday, April 10, 2013
I am pretty sure I have talked about all of these products before, but I figured I would talk a little more about my current eye make up routine.
My favorite new product discovery is Maybelline's 25 hr Color Tattoo Metal Eye shadow. I have two shades but the one I use most is Barely Branded. I use it as a base. I don't think it looks as shimmery/shiney in person as it does in the pictures. It costs about $5.95.
I then use Hard Candy's Naturally Gorgeous palette. It has ten shades of brown and you can go very neutral or smokey with this palette.
I finish off with Maybelline mascara and Wet N Wild black gel liner.

I know. I have been slacking on posting, but I have been sick and my son had a huge social studies project due. Busy, busy, busy!
Anyway, I am going to try to post a couple of things tonight, but as I was washing my face, I realized that I should share this product, so I am going to start out by talking about some Mary Kay. I have used this product in the past, but had ran out, so it has been awhile since I used it, but I just reordered it and oh my goodness I forgot how great it is!! It is Mary Kay's Velocity facial cleanser. It is an acne cleanser. Honestly, I think the product is aimed at teens/ young adults, but since my skin is a tad bit immature and acts like a teen with raging hormones and a thin mint addiction, this product really suits my rebellious skin and meets my needs. First and foremost, it removes my make up so need of doubling up on products. Two, it leaves your face feeling all nice and clean and THREE, it helps with the break outs. Yippy! And!!!! (Wait for it.......) It costs $10 and it lasts awhile, but you better find a MaryKay consultant because you are going to want more. It is great stuff.

Redken Pre Art Clarifying Treatment
Wednesday, April 3, 2013
My professional hair stylist/beautician/ I never know what the right term is had me try a new clarifying treatment. It is suppose to remove hair product build up along with minerals caused from hard water. I have really bad well water so I was super excited when I read about demineralizing treatments. This one you put on damp hair, leave on 5-10 minutes. If build up is bad use cap and heat. I used the cap but no heat and left it on ten minutes. It smelled good. I rinsed with bottled water. The biggest difference was how different my hair felt. It felt so soft and it looked a little shiner. Not sure how often I should use it. We are still researching that, but off of first impressions, I was super happy with it.

Better late than never to save your money
Tuesday, April 2, 2013
Simple. Sensitive Skin Experts. Exfoliating facial wipes. Double sided cleansing action. I had big expectations for these and they were not met. In fact, I like Dollar General Make up Remover tissues better than these. I would rather rub my face down with sand paper and they definitely do not remove make up, not that it really even boasts those claims, but you'd think it could remove makeup....maybe?! I just didn't care for them.
